fled his home realm of iosmad and tumbled through a fey portal, seeking refuge in ortiel's darthaan forest after his escape. the darthaans, relatives of the fey, graciously took him in.

willfully repays the darthaans' kindness by guarding the forest that sheltered him. the pixies here have taken an unexpected liking to him, and he's often accompanied by an orange-haired pixie named neelie.

bitter and distrustful to all others, particularly towards the undead. iron burns never heal.

acts as a guide for lyric, tirzah, and kish, leading them safely to the darthaan village after kish was able to convince him of tirzah's innocence.

in one of lyric's visions, it's revealed that romance blooms between faine and kish in the future.
